Join the Lubbock Association of realtors®

The Lubbock Association of REALTORS® offers the following types of memberships: 

  • REALTOR®
  • Designated REALTOR® (includes Appraisers)
  • MLS Participant and Subscriber (under a MLS Participant) – for those Designated REALTORS® and Salespersons that are currently primary members of another association of REALTORS®
  • Affiliate Business Partner – for companies that want a direct relationship with our 1,500+ REALTOR members.


You can qualify for REALTOR® membership if:

  • You have an Active Texas Real Estate Commission Broker or Salesperson license or have an Active Appraiser license issued by the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board to engage in the appraisal of real property.
  • You are associated either as an employee or an independent contractor with a Designated REALTOR® member of the Association; and
  • A REALTOR® or Designated REALTOR® is a primary member of the Association if Texas and National Association of REALTORS® dues are paid through the Lubbock Association of REALTORS®. A REALTOR® or Designated REALTOR® is a secondary member of the Association if State and National Association dues are paid through another association. One of the principals in the firm must be a Designated REALTOR® member of the Association in order for licensees associated with the firm to select the Association as their primary association.

REALTOR® membership includes membership in the Texas Association and National Association of REALTORS®. REALTOR® members have access to exclusive member benefits.

New REALTOR® members are granted provisional REALTOR® membership upon joining the association, with the understanding that they will complete the following requirements within the specified time frames. Failure to complete any of these within the time frames may result in membership termination.


NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION – Orientation MUST be attended within the first two (2) times it is offered after joining. Please contact LAR to find the next orientation date. Orientation is offered in February, April June, August, October, and December.

Orientation starts at 8:30 a.m. at the LAR Event Center, 6514 70th St. Don’t be late! Late arrivals will be turned away. Breakfast and lunch will be provided and bring your laptop.


RAPATTONI MLS NEW USER TRAINING – Complete this online course within 30 days of joining the MLS. A link for the course with be emailed to you by Tonya Marley.

Take the REALTOR® Code of Ethics New Member Orientation Course online HERE within 90 days after joining the LAR. This free, online course covers the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics that all members agree to abide by.


Attend a three (3) hour CE contracts course that the LAR offers – email Holly McBroom (members@lubbockrealtors.com) for the next date.
